Something that I have wanted to ask: what do you pay for a routine service for a HSV R8?
Reason I ask is, I believe that here in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, we are getting seriously ripped off by the Stealerships in order to not void our warranties.
It is condition precedent that we have to get our cars serviced every 10,000km in order not to void warranties (usually 60,000km or 3 years, whichever is the sonner)
- Service costs for 10,000/30,000/50,000km etc runs us around AUS$360
- Service costs for 20,000/40,000/60,000km etc runs us around AUS$650
(Please bear in mind that we probs get charged a lot less for oil than you guys do)
The above is for the basics, anything over and above say Oil, filters, plugs blah blah is extra.
So, question is, is this the norm or is it "excessive?"
Because we have the HSV R8, they get serviced by the same mechanice that service the 'vettes and are therefore more specialised than the mechanics who look after the Lumina SS's!!!!!!!!!!!
