hello all,

i recently got rid of my twin 3" stainless xforce system...
not a huge fan of stainless.

now looking into a mild steel single 3.5" sureflo...

anyone no how loud these are?
i want loud, but in my old VY SS it had a single tail pipe an it just felt like a more solid full note and alot more response from accelerator, dunno if its just me... haha

i will be gettin a cam an springs withing a month or 2, an its an L76 powered thunder ute..manual.

also anyone no a price? wanted to ring them today but didnt get home from work early enough.

thanks

Yer I checked the site guys but unless my eyes are screwed I only seen the twin 2.5" prices, but if you say around 700 doesn't sound to bad. Is there any reason you say forget it?? Thanks for reply's.

To old mate with the wags, how loud is this system? In comparison to the twin 3" kits gettin around?

I've got a sureflo LOUD.. with 1 3/4" headers...

And i tell you this... its bloody LOUD...

I would suggest going a medium... then if you think its not loud enough change the muffler or change to some ballistic cats....

I didnt rate my 3.5. I had a medium on a A4

Note was not "throbby" enough, it sounded more like a XR6 turbo note.

I agree that mild steel will sound better than stainless

The 3.5 did not drone at all - which is what it is sold on.... so that is a good thing

thanks for that mate, Loud is good in my opinion, did forget to mention pace maker 4-1 headers an 100cell 3" high flow cats with 4" body are already fitted. Do you think it is responsive? Feel like it has back pressure or low down torque? Also do they get that horrid high pitch crackle an that horrid noise in between gears? Cheers

I've got mine on an A4 so I don't get the high pitch crackle..

Car feels awesome all through the entire rev range...

It's something you wont regret :)

Thank for reply's guys, I had twins on a vy ss then had a mock up single tail pipe put on an it felt heaps better to drive so I think I'll give this a go. Just gotta decide between medium an loud an a good place to buy on north side brisbane as I havnt lived here long

Just a thought, would the medium give a deeper more solid note? An loud more of a high pitch crackle, as it's lettin heaps more air gettin through without being baffled as much??

Order straight from Sureflo, once you have paid them they will freight it to you door in 2-3 days. Half an hour under your car in the garage with a couple of spanners and job done:)

mate i would suggest the med/loud cat back as it is the best of both worlds.
not tooooo loud but definatly not quiet. had mine for 1 week now and now that its carboned up its awesome.

also you can get it shipped from sureflo to any exhaust place, give them a call and speak to greg

what about a pacemaker 2.5'' system or a custom twin 2.5'' with decent mufflers like hitech or genie for example

Look at getting an aluminised system if you plan on keeping the car for a while, I reckon you could make a custom aluminised3.5" system for around $600. Or see how much extra sureflow would charge for aluminised pipe.
Personally though I'd stick to a twin system on an ls motor and use a H pipe (instead of xpipe) if you want it to sound ballsy ;)

I have a single 3.5" on my blown cam and head car and it's very loud. My house mate has the twin 3" xforce on his cammed ss and the single is louder than that if you want loud pull the 7" mufffler off the back and it sounds like a drag car. It does have a lot of drone with it off thought and the police will pull you over.
Cheers Russell
