Guys,
Last night my indicators randomly just stopped flashing, they just stay on. But then after id parked, gone out for a few hours, came back to the carpark, started the car they were working again. Then on the way home they did the same thing, not flashing, jsut staying on.
Also, locked my car and went inside. about 2 hours later my mate goes um your head lights are on. I was like ah nah not mine they switch off automatiically. Went to check, sure enought they were on car locked. WTF?!?!
Any advice on the above would be appreciated.
Only electrical issues ive had lately is a flat battery the other day as my car hasn't been driven for a month or so.
Cheers

I doubt it's the flasher unit.
It'll most likely be the Body Control Module. I had these issues (and sometimes electric windows not responding), and I had to get the BCM replaced... :(

You are right VZ do need the BCM replaced but being his is a 02 Maloo, which fits in with the VX model, it has a flasher unit and is also connected to the BCM, but rule the easier stuff out first.
On the BCM it is pin B4 and maybe B12. Looking at the Electricial diagram for your car it could also be the high/low beam and turn switch as they are the one unit. which would expain the lights staying on.
can provide a scan of the electrical diagram if you need it CamoV8

hey guys,
it still doing it but intermitantly like it will flash one minute then the next they just stay on..
i hope it isn't the BCM :(
how could the battery voltage be affecting it.. i know the battery isn't in the best shape probably, as it has gone flat a few times from me not using the car.
Yes it is a VU2 Maloo.
Alex, yes that may come in handy thanks mate.
Where do i go from here guys.. Replace the flasher first?
Thanks again

right more feedback on this.
i was away for work for a while haven't used the car. replaced battery the other day as it was rooted.
indicator not flashing at times is still there (haven't yet replaced flasher or relay) and now sometimes my power windows wont go down. there is a clicking sound under the dash when i hit the switch. after a while they will eventually go down.
any ideas? i really hope this isn;t the BCM :bawl:

might be completely unrelated but i had an XF falcon that had the indicator lights stick on and the headlights flickering, etc
ended up being an earth problem (from memory, earth from motor to body was all but non existent)
