:goodjob:I have a bit of an odd question. I have a VZ and a CV8-R Series II, 260kW and 235kW respectively. Driving the two cars and I notice a significant difference in power........
The VZ is manual and runing on PULP while the CV8-R is auto and on ULP. Do you think the PULP vs ULP is a factor here? VZ is 70kms and the CV8-R is at 100kms.
Comments? Suggestions please? :goodjob:

It would appear that there are multiple factors contributing...

PULP vs ULP - definitely a factor

Manual vs Auto (the auto would feel "torqueier")

260kw vs 235kw engines - from what I remember the 260 LS1 had a different cam over and above the 245kw SIII/VYII engine, so it will definitely feel as if it has more get up and go than your 235 LS1.

Looking at the scoreboard, the Z has it 3-0 over the R.

Add in the exhaust - the Z is much better at breathing out than the R, the Z will walk over the R in just about every situation in terms of power.

yep slightly larger camshaft and better exhaust gives the VZ the edge over the Vy model.

fuel also a factor here too. put the R on PULP anyway.

Thanks guys. I will put the R on PULP if there are no problems with that?
I've just got the R and have only filled it up once. I didnt see the recommended PULP sticker on the filler lid so just went for ULP. :)

Also different gearing too in the Manual, specifically in 1st gear and final drive ratio.

Don't need one
