engine checklight prob

Was parking the car at work today and the engine checklight warning came on the dash.. Drove home from work car is running fine not making any strange noises and it's idling properly checked it when it got home it's not throwing up any error codes in the diagnostic menu, the only thing I could find wrong was it needed a little bit of oil so I topped that up..
I know it's really hard to say but does anyone have any idea what it could be.
It's the wrong time of the month so I wont have the cash to take it to the mechanics for a couple of weeks..

Oil pressure switch
O2 Sensors
Anything else

Get a scan tool on it to atleast know the problem and if its serious.

Add pcv hoses to that list, with oil pressure switch, o2 sensors.

my run it past the mechanics to see if he can give it a quick scan..
