Electrical problems

Im having problems with the volume buttons on the steering wheel in my 2003 Caprice. The raise volume button mutes the radio/cd etc and the down volume button turns the volume up.

Also my passenger side mirror that automatically adjusts when reversing has stopped working.

Are these common problems and are they expensive to fix.
