My brake lights are playing up. They are working, and then they are not.
I have a spoiler, and because of this, I can see the reflection of the lights if they are working.
I have hade one of the brake light switches changed 6 months ago, and I'm not sure if it has gone again.
Can someone tell me if one of the globes are playing up, or there is a bad connection, can this affect the whole series of the brake light system.
Never had problems with lights before on cars. And not sure if a brake swith would work intermitenly ?

Thanks

There's your problem right there. Monaro's are not meant to have spoilers, I reckon if you remove this, the problem will go away.

In all seriousness, why don't you pull the bulbs out and have a look? Should take you no more than 5mins. You can test for current if you have a multimeter and a mate to press the pedal.

Could be anything, dodgy connection somewhere between pedal and globe, or globe.

I might just do that. I'm just not sure how a brake light switch fails. Do they just totally stop working if their stuffed, or, can they play up and work intermittenly ?

So nothing works when you put your foot on the pedal? But only occassionally?
Could be a bad connection or water getting in somewhere its not meant to. Could even be that one of the globes is in backwards, the dual ones that some people seem to force fit in the wrong way for some reason.
Might be that the switch isn't adjusted properly, might be a dodgy fuse or even relay?
