Hi all,
I picked up my 'new' daily from the workshop today and they had been kind enough to chuck it on the dyno. It's an R34 GTT Skyline (auto) so a very long shot from the Munro at a mighty 150 rwkw.
It occurred to me to check an old dyno sheet from 2006 when I had the CV8 dynoed for the first time: 179 rwkw in completely stock form.
However here's the curious part:
Holden Monaro CV8 M6: 179 rwkw stock, 1692kg = 105.8 kw/tonne
Nissan Skyline R34 GTT A4: 150 rwkw stock, 1450kg = 103.4 kw/tonne
The stock power to weight ratio is nearly identical!
Out of curiosity here's the same for a more modern car:
Holden Commodore VE SS Auto: 225 rwkw (approx) stock, 1785kg = 126 kw/tonne
So clearly some improvement in the past decade :)
Feel free to add your stock power to weight figures below!

My SSV ute, with fuel & me in it, 1950kg, 260 FWKW, =133 KW/tonne. Take off 20% approx for RWKW, 107RWKW/tonne. My Procharged Harley, 450kg with me & fuel, 96 RWKW=213 KW/tonne=fun+. Cruise control & power windows don't work so well though-and I've gotta hang on hard so I don't slip off the back!
Wouldn't be without the ute though. Comes in handy to take the bike to the dyno!
Cheers, Mike

Why do you think I sold the ZX12? That had 165RWHP=123KW. That was stock-well, apart from the Arrows system, air cleaner & PowerCommander. All up me & fuel, about 330KG. Result-370KW/tonne. OMG! They'll do flat 10's, stock with a good rider.
Sorry, you can get back to cars now.
Cheers, Mike

thats why some people can run some silly times 1435kg no driver thats close to 400kg difference to mine as i run full weight no driver thats why i need the 310kw+ per tonne to acheive similar results???

I don't drive mine on the street anymore though mate, and its dedicated solely to racing. But its interesting the effect weight can have on the result. :)
I use to have a 275rwkw 224/228 manual VU ute that ran 12.8@112. The VT just makes racing far to easy  <-- i should say running times easy, racing is the harder part
