Just a quick question taking my monaro to a track day I know u over fill with oil by about .5 of a ltr where does that come to on the dipstick?? I read somewhere up to the first notch?the blower return is up tge back of the sump will this be effected at all? U know to much oil then it can't drain back... Sorry hada a quick search but I'm flat out hope someone can help cheers

i used to run mine with nearly a litre over full, i would check the oil level with the engine running to the full mark on the dipstick, with being on the track you are braking a few times a lap so if the return you have is going to the top of the rear of the sump i cant see it hurting it, if anythiing the rocker covers fill with oil and you get excess oil into the throttle body wich usually only results in a puff of blue smoke when you accelerate out of a corner

I overfill to the top of the s bend on the dip stick (about a litre) for track days and haven't experienced any problems.
