Anyone had there manual gearbox repaired in perth before?

the gb in my ute is stuck in 4th and i cant get it out. Clutch is fine and i can still disengage it from the motor.

Highly likely to have just broken the plastic 3-4 shift retainer.

Anyone know anyone with some knowledge on these box's locally before i make a call to malwood?

Technical Transmissions in Wangara repaired my standard box last year and did a good job. They do all holden waranty work here in Perth.

what was the problem with that box and what sort of money did it set you back if you dont mind me asking.

Just explained that to someone in another thread. 2007 VE T56 had some issues with reverse/1st selecting and strange noises.
Cost me $1100 to fix. Was done under waranty to many others.

It involved some gearsets so yours may not be too bad if just selector problem. Go and see them as they were very helpful to me at the time.
