Hi, wondering if I can get someone with more mechanical knowledge than me to tell me whats wrong.

2007 VE manual
Billet shifter
Aftermarket clutch

After car has been driven for a while and I am stationary (say at lights), can be hard to put car into first.

Lot of resistance and need a fair bit of force to get it into first.
Then problem may disappear for a while.

A few times when trying to park won't let me select reverse.(stuck in neutral)
When I turn off engine and restart it the gear selection is back to normal.

Could possibly be:
Clutch not releasing fully when hot caused by ? insert many posibilities here
Flywheel bushing tight / not lubed when new clutch was put in - again heat effect
Sounds like you need to get it looked at as it doen't sound right otherwise you will end up damaging the gearbox

Cheers

I'd say it' most likely air in the clutch lines, I had the same problem. Flush the clutch fluid and bleed properly.

That model had issues with a number of gearboxes(me included)
Known fault in the gearbox. Cost me $1200 to get repaired.

If you are lucky like some you might get waranty

check all other possibilities first though.
