Well it has reached the day that LBT and the Monaro both boarded their ship to head off to Blighty. As some of you know I am leaving Australia to head back to the UK for work reasons. I toyed with selling the cars, but figured that it was better to take the cars with me. LBT will be going to Santa Pod and the Brighton Seafront Sprint and we'll see if the guys at UK Holden tuning shop Monkfish can catch us :)

So here are a couple of pics as LBT says goodbye to the mighty halls of PowerTorque Engines that have catapulted the ute to awesome times and wins at a few events including the LS1 Nationals Radial Class of 2007. Huge thanks to Mark, Shaun, Shane, Crusty, JB and all of the guys I met there over the last few years. Awesome tuning shop, awesome people and LBT will be flying the PT flag in the UK!!!!!!

LBT has only been on a trailer three times in her life so it was a definitely strange affair for her. It would have been driven to the dock, but it had no current rego on it. A wise man suggested to put in to the tune an RPM limit of 4K for now just incase any one at the docks decided to fire her up and try to see her sing at full noise at 8K+ rpm.

So I'd also like to say a massive thank you to Markone2 for his guidance and sharing of knowledge whilst we raced out at Willowbank. A good friend and mentor over the last few years. With the PT tuned black Maloo and LWT you'll still have plenty of fun at the track of that I am sure.

Big thanks also to BigJim as well for all his help and advice. Ever the gentle giant, Jim always has good advice and always leant a hand when I needed some help. I am sure that his beast of a GTO will rock the lanes at WB soon.

There are loads of others I'd like to thank as well such as Big Trent, Seldo, Scott, Statie, the guys at Tyre & Wheel Solutions, Clint and the guys at Hart Transmissions, Ultimate Performance Exhausts, SpeedInc and the list goes on......

Also as I reflect upon my time in Australia and the LS1 forum I look back and chuckle at the 'debates' we have had with ST, LL, Pagey, etc and the Turbo brigade.

Finally for those of you that still want a little something to clean your leather then don't panic. I've left stocks behind and have a distributor set up - you can see all my work on www.drleather.com (http://www.drleather.com)

So goodbye for now. But I'll be watching from afar........

Thanks to all at LS1.com.au :goodjob:

Cheers,

Leatherman

Wishing you all the very best back in "Blighty".

Will the cars have to undergo any changes to make it street driveable in the UK or are they good to go as is?

Good luck over there. I speak occasionally to one of the owners of Wortec who I think works with Monkfish. Maybe load up on some rare spares for the ute and Monaro especially the heavy stuff.

Thanks guys. Yes we'll we taking a few spares but nothing too much at present.

The ute will now become a dedicated drag car, and the Monaro will probably just need a couple of bits done to it to become my daily drive over there.

Cheers Darryl
Its sad to see you go as you've been a great friend always ready for a chat and always harmless, happy, friendly, and generous - even to those who sometimes tred to sling some crap.
I know you'll do well over there and of course you don't have to completely abandon us - the web still works over there...;)
So please keep us up to date with your exploits and tales of derring-do.
All the best
Dave
