Its awesome but if you and your mate, BOTH have meat and two veg, I would find somewhere a little less expensive and spend the extra on booze and fun, You could look at in the city within walking distance of everything including crown..

Holiday Inn, its in Spencer street and about a 1 can walk from Crown but over half the price.

if your "mate" and you enjoy sleeping together, then sure head to Crown...

Hey mate I stay at crown a hell of a lot and ive stayed in some of the best rooms at the towers they are great but for a 2 bedroom villa they are over a $1000 a night but if you wanna stay at crown look at metropol very nice and cheap as chips but I don't think they have two bedrooms but you can get two beds.........

I usually check out the Mystery Hotels on lastminute.com for hotels to stay in the city if I'm going to have a drink or two.
I don't know which hotel I will be staying at in the CBD, but for $150, I have stayed at the Intercontinental, Novetel, Hyatt and a couple of weeks ago, at the Sebel. All on Collins Street.

Just done a Wotif mystery deal for a CBD hotel next weekend, and ended up at the Grand Hyatt in a King Room for $206. Crown Towers is a little over rated, and a few years old now. There are more modern newly refurbished hotels out there now !

Have to agree.. there's many newer, nicer hotels in the city that are cheaper..

You may even want to look at serviced appartments in the docklands area, you can get them cheap and they have everything..

I pick the Westin over Crown any day, if not for the fact that you're not staying in a casino, however if that's your thing then you will definately enjoy yourself.

Crown Towers is dated now... they really need to refurb.
Not sure what the new one is like?!

Westin or Hilton (South Wharf) votes here.

Just booked a night at the new Crown Metropol, they have a super special which includes.

King Room or twin Queen rooms.
Valet Parking
2 x Breakfast at Maze Gordon Ramsey's restaurant.

Total cost 325.00 which isnt that bad considering that the breakfast is worth 70 bucks for 2 adults.
