Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone could recommend someone who services & repairs ducted central heating in the Dandenong/Frankston area?
Would rather go through recommendations rather than just pick a name from yellow pages.
I have a vulcan gas unit in our roof, no normal pilot light, it's lit by mains electicity. The thing won't fire up - goes on for a few seconds and turns itself off.
Thanks.

Sounds like the same problem we had with our valcan system we called valcan cost a bit more but fixed the problem first hand just a dirty sensor all the others said needs replacing etc etc they had no idea on the valcan unit

Similar symptoms to the vulcan unit in my house.
Turned out to be the gas valve. Approx $450 to replace I'm afraid.

thanks for the replies so far guys.
Hopefully someone can recommend someone local to us otherwise I'll just ring a few from yellowpages - though will give vulcan a call and see how much they cost too.
cheers,
Gav

Just got a quote for my Brivis ducted gas heater. $820 to replace a gas valve. Got another quote from Brivis themselves, $425. Unbelievable hey!
Worst part is I have to pay the first mob a $150 service call fee. I actually don't want to pay the first mob at all, cause I'm pretty p1ssed, but legally, I don't think I have a leg to stand on. Even though I was severely over quoted.

i had troubles with my vulcan i spoke to a heating bloke at the pub and he said theres a panel at the end which has a red button in it, press that and it resets it.
so i did and it reset and all is fine.
Mine started then stopped then started then stopped, it just wouldnt fire up.
now it does.

Did you get your problem fixed?
If not I'll grab the Bonaire reps number from work.

Hey Slipz,
I got a guy comin out this arvo to check it out.
From talkin to him over the phone he recons it's either a flame sensor or circuit board. fingers crossed.
I'll post results tonight - hopefully he fixes it and i don't need to call someone else after.
Thanks.
