Is there anyway to stop the otr rubbing on the under side of the bonnet? Its pretty sad to pay $750 only to find it all scratched and has also damaged the bonnet.

Have a look at how it is mounted, can you get it a bit lower? Also see if you can adjust the height of your bonnet when closed, I set mine about a full turn of the rubber things higher. Saying that my DuSpeed OTRCAI still does touch in 1 spot. I just put a sticker there to slow the rubbing down. Also what CAI as mounting probably changes from most of them. I also assume it s for the VX

Its becaust the OTR needs to sit over the condenser comfortable, if it is not then it sits to high and rubs on bonnet, some ppl either bend condenser a little or modify it to fit snug

you may need to bend/bash the condenser down or even the radiator
I had to do both to get mine not to touch

Dont forget alowe for engine torqe! The OTR wil twist to the right with the engine about 10 to 15 MM just like this.

The ziggy OTR on mine rubs, but thats because its a fibreglass monaro bonnet and is thicker than the original, even with the condenser bent. Its only a couple of small spots so I got some (dont laugh) heavy duty adhesive velcro and stuck it (the soft 'loop' side)on the underside of the bonnet where it was rubbing, problem solved! it does go a bit hard from the heat but havent had any problems, only changed it once in about a year.
Unfortunately some powdercoat did rub off before I put the velcro on, so its got a spot of bare alloy but cant be helped. When I get around to it i'll get it re-coated.

You should have 2 sets of radiator mounts on the bottom put it on the front mount and lean it back thats what some people are doing.
