Hi guys,

My Belt is making and squicking noise worked it out to be the air con belt and seems to be pulley related. The Belt sits very close to the front of the bottom pulley and if i push it back it will stop till it works it way forward again.

Anybody know how i can adjust the pulley and pull it out a little so the belt sits in the middle of the pulley wheel ???

pictures attached to show you what i mean, its the bottom wheel ;)

whats the bearing like? take the belt off and check for movement in the bearing. new ones are cheap. 20-30 each depending where you go. i changed all of mine last week as well as the belts.

You cant adjust the the pulley at all, but i would be doing as above and checking the Idler its self, and maybe try spraying some silicon lube or the likes on the belt to see if it stops ( worked for me, spray it once a month and it kept the squeek away till i could be bothered fixing it )
The idler its self isnt expensive but the whole tensioner assembly is ( ~150 or so i think ) and the idler can vary in price between brands
I would also check to make sure the tensioner / balancer are running true together and neither are wobbling around exessivly
