I race a highly modd'd GSXR1000 and also a superstock GSXR600....
Love the power of the Thou - shame ya can't use em on the road really.....
Are you going to do some track days or racing?
My GSXR brand new - $19,990 > spent a total of $30,000 to get her up to ASBK spec via PTR (overall cost 50K - privateer winner of Form Xtreme spent 70K on bike alone.....)
I ended up with 195BHP at the rear (weighed around 165KGs OR add 65kgs with rider so not quite 1:1BHP/KG but damned close). Have been trapped at a little over 300kph using RaceChrono....in Stock trim, to answer the question above, you'll see about 150-160BHP at the wheel. Very very little needed to really open them up and the 70K build above reached 210BHP which is nearing their limit here in AUS. WSBK are seeing a bit more but spending A SHED load more........
Coming onto the EasternCreek straight (downhill) I'd be short shifting from 4>5th to keep the front down.....madness :o) Lucky I'm also a part time stunt rider and founding member of Team Cunningstunts then! :D
GSXR FTW :)

I was talking to the last owner before I brought it he had all the work done down your way in Canberra at moto central. Your bike would be a weapon got any photos.

Yeah Moto Central is a decent work shop, 1/2 dyno's in Canberra for bikes. I'd get it dyno'd where you live or plan to ride it though....Canberra is about 600+m above sea level so if you're closer to the coast there's probably a few more ponies you could release with another tune. Heck you have the Power commander just plug her in to your laptop and download the specific map for your location/parts combo... :goodjob:
My website is badly needing updating but you'll get the idea at www.racing.cunningstunts.com (jarrad or j-rad is my name) also check our stunt site out www.cunningstunts.com there's limited crappy video footage (onboard footage is being edited) but *stacks* of pics :o)
cheers!
