Can i suggest to the mods that you should link LS1 forums up to "Tapatalk" which is an iphone app that allows the easy use of internet forums on the iphone, proUTES uses it, and it works great. Highly recommended!

I own a forum and we rolled out Tapatalk some time ago. It's fantastic and the next version due out in October will also have moderator tools as well for those with the relevant permissions.
I'd highly recommend it.
Cheers, Brett

I have considered this previously, infact quite a long time ago and my biggest problem with it is there is no WiMo version of the application. I have both WiMo and Android phones but I'm rather pissed they have not releases a WiMo version at all .. even though there is now a Android version. it is also a commercial App, I will revisit it but don't want to have the site become a giant tapatalk advertisement.
I would love tapatalk personally. It makes browsing so much eaiser.

I am looking at options for mobile users, there is tapatalk and also vBulletin are releasing their own mobile app soon .. I'm right on it but there will be nothing available for ls1.com.au until after the v4 upgrade.

The free beta of the vBulletin iphone app can be downloaded HERE (http://www.vbulletin.com/go/iphoneapp) if anyone wants to give it a go...
I'd be interested in the users feedback as to which of the contenders they prefer from a users experience as time goes on and I get closer to making a decision...
It's no good mate. It's only for the actual vbulletin forum

Ahh .... well I am still interested in feedback on how it is compared to tapatalk even if you have to test it on the vbulletin forum ;) .. The decision should be made by the users here so here is your chance to choose what YOU want or think is the best, both options will involve the forum spending money to license it properly either way.

We just had this setup on our club site. Come on mods...... Pppppppplllllease
I use tappatalk on two of my forums, and since picking up the app. I now visit a site in which i used to rarely ever visit before. Makes it so much easier being able to help people with questions when im not near a computer.
But i will keep my eyes pealed for what happens here. I would def use this site a lot more myself :)

Its free to use, the only cost is the $2 odd for the end user. I cant see any reason why it shouldn't be put in. Id bet that the large majority of the people here have iPhones. There is also nothing to say that you can implement somthing else for the Android/WiMo phones as well.

I'm very keen for it as I use my iphone for the majority of fourm browsing I do these days (at work I can't access it as its blocked). It is a pain browsing this fourm without a mobile mode on a small screen with forever zooming.

The main problem now is trying to get the sponsor banners showing in TapaTalk another reason I have taken a while to get around to this.
Thanks!! Makes it much easier!

Yeah apart from no sponsor banners .. I'm working on that but not sure how long it will take to get sponsor banners in tapatalk .. problem being is tapatalk only supports gif .. grr...

I finally got Tapatalk downloaded onto my iPhone. Purchased it 2 days ago but couldn't get it to appear on my phone no matter how many times I sync'd etc.. Finally PMd Macca@NJCCorp who I saw was using it and he suggested logging onto the App Store from the phone itself and I now finally have it.
Used it for a while earlier and say a big !! Much easier than accessing the forum through the browser on the phone!! :yup:

Good to see they are supporting WP now .. still no support for WM however ..
If anyone has any ideas on how to integrate the forum sponsor banners into the tapatalk interface I am all ears, this is a must if tapatalk support is to continue on the forums.
I'm using it aswell now, it's great

Using Tapatalk on a number of forums good to see it on here too!
Just installed Tapatalk on my iPhone.
Much easier to read the forums as previously I looked via safari when at work, and also primarily at home for the ease of it.
I have a question for others, when you want to upload pictures via Tapatalk, do you upload to the forum or Tapatalk hosted?
Cheers,
Hos

Either or mate, tapatalk give you limited free uploads maybe 20 before they want $4 off you.
Ok. Thanks for that.

I would agree with JT, on anything with a screen smaller than 5" it is a more compact interface but as a result it does not have all the features of the forum when viewed in a browser .. As JT says for a tablet the browser is better :)

Is there a trick to using Tapatalk? If I follow a link to a website or to YouTube I need to close that down and reopen the Tapatalk app. Is there an easier way to navigate back to the forum after following a link?
