glad you asked. maybe not good if no ones rushing on to say.

it was raining yesterday arvo in my area, and if it raining at EC the track would have been a bit slippery. pissed down for about 3/4 hour at around 4 pm. maybe it was called off...

Another night of turning up to the track at 3pm and only getting three runs in.

Every run was exactly the same. 11.5 @ 119 mph with mid 1.6's to the sixty. I wish I was bracket racing. :) I couldn't peddle it any better. Humidity was 87% with all the rain around.

Al..... :slap: :D

Yep. He arrived at 6 ish and lined up for 2 1/2 hours.... bloody typical.

Personally, I really wanted to see Al's MPH.... but when the tree went green his car blew a puff of rev limiter type smoke and just sat there. It must have been a serious dump. The car didn't move an inch or squat. It just sat there shortly before the track crew pushed it backwards.

Oh well.............................better luck next time.

I hope they are making them out of Plutonium or Uranium??...ahhh you know what I mean something real strong that ends in 'ium. ;)
Why does 'Foley' keep braking axles and B doesn't? :)
Has B got softer hands and 'Foley' harder feet or something???;););)

Trip to the country maybe?? Mind you you would need a trailer-load of axles then as you would have so many runs!!!

Good Luck 'Foley' er sorry, ssgen3 ;)

The rarest of the known rare earths. Unobtainium is always desired and always sought after. Coveted by many but never obtained. Just like the 1.2 - 60' foot Al's trying to get.

Trailer load is not going to help.
Foley must beat B. Foley dumps clutch 7000rpm.
:cussing: Foley neads top door slammer rear end:doh:

some of that pcm traction control may help here for first gear.

Steve, Craig and I did this stuff over 12 months ago on Craig's car. That was how it made it into the 12's on street tyres... No big deal.

I know the bits edit can access for an A4. But I didn't know you guys had some non 'edit' tools, to get into the other pcm code that edit doesn't see, which may do a better job at traction control than the current ones edit looks at. I thought those bits were newish, as hadn't heard it mentioned before Delco did. Sorry bout that

Some of this non A4 code sound interesting too. Wonder if DOD could also help a take off, feeding on cylinders.

traction control snaps the axles more, I broke 3 of them b4 I finally figured out the axle is breaking when the t/c hits the brakes halfway through a wot take off.

T/C stays off not a broken one since.

news to the rest of us too Steve remembering the arrows that were taken over the non edit work being carried out....beats me...hex? Thought it was an Allen key  but seems there are plenty of knowledgable people on it since the movie The Matrix.....

Shame Al broke...the mph was going to be real interesting. When is the next track attack planned?

Steve when we did it, it wasn't in traction control, it was in the controling of traction... Think about it.

Craig , I thought all that was with auto stuff , hasnt Al got a manual.

Having to dump the clutch at hi rpm is always going to break stuff , no amount of PCM control will rectify that.

Bullet proof drivetrain or more torque down low so hi rpm isnt needed may cure that ?

Hell even a stocky will snap driveshafts with a hi rpm launch - suprised B hasnt got a trailer load of them given his 60ft times

Not sure if everyone still missing my point. forget the current traction control setup and programming that you have stock and know about, also what edit can change in this area.

I mean another program thats within the pcm that 'edit' cannot see or change, its turned off in the pcm in all cars currently. and as far as i can tell delco and maybe dick can access this code, its a totally different function and process hiding within the pcm. also extra bits timing can individually set for within each gear, not just for the rpm range and load accoss the board for every gear as now. now that would take some time to tune using that function.

I assume you mean you've played with the edit traction control functions for the traction control and torque reduction we all know and edit can access and change. its not these.

Delco, I think that's what Craig is trying to say. :)

My drive train has lasted this long because I don't dump the clutch.... I use it.

Al, can I ask who is making you stronger axles ?
