Hi All

trying to get a plastic front bumper from Melbourne to Perth, but keep getting quoted prices that are dearer than a business class seat on an Airline.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :goodjob:

Cheers

Holty, contacted Damian, they were one of the most expensive, nearly $500.
A few years ago we moved from Perth to Melbourne, it cost around 4K, now we are moving from Hong Kong to Perth costing around 6K.
Having trouble understanding why one little bumper would be $500

plug the weight and dimensions into interparcel.com.au and see what quotes you get for their various services. i just sent a ve ute tonneau newcastle to perth for $40 with them.

We normally use Sadliers, Bohaul or R&S for Melbourne to Perth deliveries.. Wrap it in lots of decent bubblewrap and carboard, although a solid cardboard box around it all would be ideal.

Sorry for the bum steer mate, they normally are one of the better ones I deal with in the trade. I guess next option would be Perth Freighlines, but packaging would be imperative. Im really suprised at the cost to be honest. I just bought a ute from Brisbane, and freight to Melb is $440. Admit thats a trade price, but still a lot larger than a bumper!
Good luck,
Holty

Big cubic measurements like bumper bars often make something "cheap" become something quite the opposite when east to west is involved...
Hope someone comes up with a "reasonable" option.
