every workshop I know of sends their heads to higgins, never heard of any shops in Sydney with a cnc mill to do cylinder heads

I'm in Sydney and just Star Track Expressed my heads to Nathan Higgins for him to CNC for me. His heads are the best, definitely in a league of their own!

No I dont know anyone in Sydney.

I took my heads to Performance Cylinder Head Dynamics in Penrith to get decked, but that's it. I don't believe they do CNC'ing, but I'm sure they can han port them if required.

If CNC'ing them, i'd ship to Higgins, if Hand Porting go to Tony at Knight engines in South Australia (08 8376 9540).

Not cheap either way

I would imagine it is exchange. His prices came down since he installed the CNC machine, as it takes less time and less skin off his knuckles!

cheers

I'm in Perth and still went for Higgins cnc'd LS2 heads. I'm very very happy with the improvements.

im in the same boat, for the 1550, im now tempted to get mine done when i put the cam in.

for 1550, thats exchange and the head rebuilt using your gear machined and new seals installed, that the heads fully done with all that needs doing is for them to be bolted to the block.

though i am curious what gains i'll have at the track.

another vote for higgins, i sent mine off bout 6 months ago when i changed to bigger cam. very good price the heads are ported wicked

noticed a big difference in torque and throttle response, can't go past higgins for bang for buck heads IMO

Does anyone know the dimensions of LS7 intake ports on the heads.

1.335-1.350-2 wide

2.525-2.550 high

l92/l98/ls3 is 145-150 thou taller and 100 thou less wide-

hope that helps-
