I called the sunroof centre in Melb, $2095.00 fully fitted with 3 year warranty. Called prestige sunroofs also in Melb, although a little closer to me, same roof, a hollandia 700 (basically the factory fit for the VZ, the VE has a dial controller instead of buttons with presets) and they wanted $2595.00. Asked if they could match the price and I would give them the biz and not a single dollar off! How ridiculous? They admitted they do dealer work, and that the price would be cheaper. So I could have the dealer call them for a cheaper price, although they wouldn't do a deal at all for cash from me.

Stuff them, they obviously don't want my biz so they can faarrkk off imo.:flipoff::flipoff::flipoff:

You will be happy with the Sunroof Centre if you use them they did the Sunroof's in Both My R8 Tourer & Senator sig (& a few previous cars) Michael the owner is a great Guy & has a awesome collection of old school tuff cars He also loves Holden v8 wgn's.

I did get Prestige to do the sunroof & My VY SS wgn (they did a ebay special of $1650) there customer service was very poor & left the interior of the ss dirty.

sunroof centre did the sunroof in my old VT, never had an issue and they never charged a cent more than they had too (ie, they said it could possibly need some kit if its damaged, they could have said yes and i would never have known any different but they said it didnt need it so never charged me) and the finish was great

man, working in the service industry, these histrionics always make me laugh...

if sunroof centres $400 cheaper, why even consider offering your business to someone whos clearly not doing you any favours?! go the other mob! surely a short drives worth a couple of hundred bucks! i'm always getting people at work trying to wrangle a couple of dollars, its not a beach in bali for christs sake, if they can sell it cheaper, theres a reason for it good or bad, legit or not but let your money do the talking!

often its not the guy on the other side of the counter your arguing with who sets the prices anyway so if they don't move on price straight away, don't waste your breath...

i disagree with the naming and shaming though - if it turns out its a legit complaint, its the only way to spread awareness of good or bad service

Wonky I'm in Melb for a few months renovating a house in case it needs selling quickly.

And they matched the price I might have considered them being closer but given the thoughts on this thread indeed why would I go to them. Especially since a poster has had a negative experience and the sunroof centre seems positive.

If I can save one poster money by going to the cheaper place by near on 20% then naming and shaming has every validity.

Sorry IF they matched the price. However as mentioned no way I would go to prestige and in no way would I recommend them. Merely a phone enquiry was dealt with poorly imo so I can only judge their customer service from that. Sunroof centre offers the same 3 year warranty so it's by far the better deal for exactly the same sunroof.

Hi

I forgot the name of the place but I have a phone number for you. 9548 3366 and they are on Princes Highway Noble Park, they have fitted sunroofs to many of my cars and are the only place you need to deal with.

regards,

Richard

Thanks mate yeah I called them and together with price and recommendations on the site I'm going with them for sure, they were most helpful on the phone so thats a win for customer service in my book. :)
