Hi,
I've noticed a bug with my EDI - if i'm in the EDI (RPM screen) and I press Map - it crashes. I cannot access the EDI and the map is not available it just sticks on the Rpm screen.
Today the edit screen turned purple when i pressed the map and now i cannot access the EDI at all. Just says 'enhanced driver interface not available'
I turned the car off and back on - it's still stuck on the purple screen
I tried factor rest - this did nothing to fix it.
Can anyone help?

Take battery terminal off would do a hard re-set i reckon....

Yeah I agree. Give it a Mac Air Restart and see how it goes. If no joy, off to HSV.

I normally turn to Google in times like this - although with the EDI being quite new and specific to the HSV E3, I could see myself looking angry and waiting at 7am at the HSV dealer.

Well I have an update - of sorts. Fixed one issue and found another:
The bug still exists - not sure this happens with everyone. If you are in the EDI view and press the Map button on the right the EDI crashes and NAV / EDI are broken until they are reset by turning off the car. Yesterday the edit screen turned purple when i pressed the map and I could not access the EDI at all.
I turned the car off and back on - still stuck on the purple screen. It says in the manual that the EDI stays active for up to 30 mins - so I left it 30 mins before turning the car back on. When I tried this it worked fine.
I'm wondering if this is a bug with the firmware - and therefore how / when an update might be available?
I've also noticed a really annoying oversight in the firmware. If you have mp3's on a USB stick - it plays them in 'filename order' and ignores the MP3 Tag Track listing. So if you have filenames that are:
01, 02, 03 etc it plays them in this order instead:
01, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 2, 20, 3, 4, 5 etc..
I really think the EDI needs an update just for this oversight...this type of thing is common on cheap mp3 players so I hope HSV can fix these issues..
You're right - there is NOTHING about the EDI on Google - due to its newness. I'm a bit annoyed i need to turn a car off for 30 mins and cannot play simple track listings on a 70K+ car - so have also raised this with HSV today. Please let me know if you have similar issues for E3 owners?

I imagine the EDI is just an extension of the Holden IQ system. I'll give the MP3 bug a try on my SSV today. Probably be the same thing :(
IMO The systems needs to have a user accessible hard system restart.
Hey mate,
I just went to garage n tryed this, it pauses for about 5 seconds then moves to the map. What ever CPU and Ram they use it probably under done?
