VE GTS/Pentagon wheels centre bore question

Hey Fellas,

This question is for a mate of mine, he wants to know if 73.1 centre bore VE GTS wheels will fit his VE SS..

or are these for the pre ve models?

Also Id like to know if 69.6 centre bore Pentagon wheels will fit a VE SV6 Wagon as my missers would like a set for her new wagon..

I was under the impression that the 69.6 were for the VE models and the 73.1 are for pre VE?

Pretty sure the VEs have about a 67mm hub, so will need hub rings for both sets - different sizes of course

at work we just fitted a set of pre VE wheels to a ve ss. i cant remember the center bore on the wheel but we had to use pcl rings to locate the whels on the hub and had to use 40mm long alankey head wheel nut bolts as the standard or after moarket wont fit due to the size of the wheels studs and the pre VE wheel.

yeah all VE hubs are 67mm, therefore just get the right hubrings and you can fit anything onto it

Thanks guys what about 69.6? Are those for pre VE or will they somehow fit VE?

I thought you could get the replica wheels in exact size to fit VE's/pre VE's without the hub rings..

Provided the stud pattern is right, both should fit. The stud hole size should be enough to accomodate the 14mm stud too.

But as I said above, you will need hub rings with the wheels you mentioned. There are replica wheels that have the 67mm hub size which wouldn't require hub rings.
Otherwise, just listen to what i already told you - get some hub rings. If you don't like hub rings, you can machine the wheels and weld in the hub rings for a more permanent solution.

The genuine ve hsv rims will go straight on any ve. I've got genuine pentagons on my ssv wagon straight up fit no adapters required.

the whole idea of replicas is that they dont cost your first born, i think wed all have genuines if we could afford them
