I did post this in the group buy but might make it another thread.
Any tips on how to fit the gauges to the JHP pod?
They fit with the bezels off but not with them on.
Grind or heat up plastic Pod or both? I'm sure someones done this already...
The Jhp pods say fits most 52mm gauges, i guess it depends how fat the bezels are..

Usually you can just sand the pod down slightly to get the guage to fit.

mate i have the same problem trying to fit mine to the JHP holder, i just tried to fit a 52mm autometer gauge i have laying around and it wont fit either. I have removed the bezel to fit mine. But for $300 you would think you wouldn't need to cut anything

yeah noticed that it fit with the bezel off, but how are you holding the front (plastic lens etc) on without the bezel? Glue them on?
its due to the compact height eyebrow and dip at the bottom to keep it low, doesn't leave room for fat bezels it seems. yeah for the price your think it would fit a larger brand range esp autometer being a popular one.

Yeah I'm disappointed with it, I have removed the clear plastic, it doesn't look to bad with the plastic off

That would be rather dangerous the lcd scratches easy and will get dust in it etc..
mines in and done now..Gave up waiting for a solution, impatient i guess. :smilesandbanana:
Pulled out the porting tools and ground it out until they fitted, bit more than a little sanding. Air Porting tools speed up the job...Then went to a lot of trouble to mask off the area around the gauge 'tunnel' and paint the tunnel afterwards (leaving all the original paint everywhere else). then decided didn't like the slight variation in colour and sprayed the whole thing anyway :)
turned out good for a rushed job.
The wiring was easy used that plastic crap Electricians use to pull wire through, got it first go. Took the disconnected centre speaker out you can pack all the extra wire in there as well. cable tie the wires right up above the steering column pedals etc so they don't wear out on those things by hanging on them.
Drilled a hole next to the port in the side of the plastic, so the wire comes straight out of the port and through the hole with no bending. looks rather neat. have to do this step before feeding the wire to the top.
now to start playing with it i guess over the coming days

I get some pics tomorrow, like to see the colour in the daytime instead of Fluros.
the colour the pod came in match the other bits of the dash but not the plastic around it. now its close to the plastic around it, at least under the daylight fluros. didn't have much paint around to choose from at home, was very close to the surrounding plastic the one i found.
used the black Bezels as not much chrome inside the car. might see if i can paint the spare white inserts for the gauge in the same colour as the cars exterior etc

Yeah was hoping for no extra work to fit, not many gauges would have very thin bezels, they would be the minority..
Could have gone the SS POD but preferred the look of the JHP, does not have the angle but still easy to read and looks better.

here you go, mm could not see the dust before the photo, bloody high res lol. better clean that and the gauge face, was playing with it.. Set rpm shift lights and if the oil press drop below 20 that why those lights are on cars not going. can you set more than one thing per gauge for warnings?
think I'll leave it on ait to remind to move the sensor showing that ait after sitting 4.5 hours
next change the dash lighting also to blue.
