Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased a WH Caprice and from day dot has had a pretty bad squeal from the brakes when applied, a very good friend of mine is a mechanic at a pretty well respected transmission/mechanic shop in adelaide, and was saying alot of the WH's have issues with the brakes squelling, and not much can be done about it??

Is this truee??

Thanks in advance.

I can't see any reason why brakes on a WH would squeak more than any other models, they are the same brakes after all. Try a different pad if it bothers you, or even try some of the anti-squeal rubber that goes between the caliper pistons and pads.

Hard to see a WH would be any diffrent any other model. A while ago the pads in my daily VX II Calais had to be changed (front and back), I bought basic pads from supercheap and even though on the box it says no squeal, minimal dust, they squeal and have more dust than any other pad I've had on Commodores. I did have some old boxes from pads I'd bought in the past still in the garage and noticed that all of them were Bendix Ultimates, which they also had on the shelf at Supercheap for an extra $30. So I think I'll be swapping the pads to Ultimates.
