Hey guys

Anyone know about the HSV branded tools/ spanners ? I don't expect them to be snap ons but are they say kincrome/repco standard ? I remember a memebr once saying they were actually very good quality and they do have a lifetime warranty ... reason being they are on special at the moment , thinking about buying some for the garage as a second set . Or are they just crappy tools ?

I think they are OK. I keep one of the smaller sets in the boot.

Where are they on special

I haven't opened the socket set, so I can't comment on those...

But I got the metric/AF combo spanner set a few years ago (from 8mm up to 17mm, and 7/16 up to about 13/16 from memory - they come in a roll-up/wrap type package).

I've given them a good workout - certain sizes used on a number of engine builds, and a mechanical resto. I've thumped them with a hammer to shift tough bolts, put a pipe over the end to get more torque, and generally given them a hard time.

I haven't broken one yet, nor have I managed to spread the open-ended end of any of them either - which often happens with cheaper spanners. I'm happy to recommend them.
