Just wondering if anyone on here has a blown LS3 in a VZ, and if so, how you went with engineering/passing an EPA test with it (if you bothered?)

Cheers!

most people dont bother. they just cope the defects and fix it.

also to pass the ADR 79 or 80 (cant remember which) is a fairly large job if you have to do the entire drive cylce and shed testing and you can spend a hell of alot money trying to get it too pass. Not to mention most imports with no modifications fail the first few times.
lastly at above $1k per test it can become extremely expensive very quickly

yeah, how is the old epa testing in wa going? last i heard it was obital doing it, the test is a im240 and its 3g, then ontop of that, you needed to submit the work being done to the RTA for approval, you could do it after, but you run the risk of it being rejected, i gave up on going TT because of it, was'nt going to risk failing the test and to drive around with the approval for the mods with good ol Mr plod

whats the 5 gas test about?

As for the OP, each state is different, but talk to an engineer and he'll point you in the right direction.

if you go in to get the 5 gases test or permits for extractors and exhaust can the turn around and give u a yellow sticker? If so whats the chances of you going getting the 5 gases test and them slapping on a yellow?

Also interested to know. I'd love to give it a shot on mine (not only that but get it over the pits and permitted for the lot) but I'm worried that I'd get royally screwed if I didn't pass

Not that my car has any illegal modifications.
