i have a vy ss

recently i have put on 4into1 headers highflow cats and 2 1/2 catback (no rear mufflers)

now the problem is doesn't always do it but sometimes when im really up it the car sorta jerks here and there like its cuting in and out it never used to happen before the system was put on i read up it may be to little back pressure or when u do full system u need a tune to accommodate?

any help would be appreciated.

A tune is not essential but may help, will certainly maximise power and minimise fuel usage. One possibility (sometimes happens with fitting extractors) is they've damaged your O2 sensor(s) and that's messing up the mixture. Also check that all leads are firmly on and that one of the leads (usually #1 I think on some extractors) is not touching the pipe and melted.

:lmao: i really thought this was going to be about some jerk driving a VYss.
As wonks has said tho i would probably look into the oxy sensors:yup:

I'd be scanning for codes initially which should lead you to the problem if it is serious enough. As mentioned, O2 sensors may have been damaged or even a simple "knock" to one of your leads or plugs could be causing it. It could also be purely coincidental that your plugs/leads are simply due for replacement due to age & mileage but you had not noticed before you went to use the new found power :)

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Put the extractors on and 2.5" system and a week later the O2 sensors went. It's like they burnt out. Within 48 hours of first noticing some hunting at idle it was like it had thrown a rod, with overfuelling and running like a dog.

New sensors and it ran like a new engine....
