EBC red stuff umm now yellow

Hey,
I installed ebc red stuff on sunday, bedded them in propley and had a track day yesterday.

My right front's are fine, still red but my left is yellow but only the top half of the pad.. the bottom half is still red.

Do you know what it could be?
i did the warm ups and a whole cool down lap each time. i took these photos when i got home

The paint has just got too hot and discoloured. mine did the same thing after the last track day i went on. Got them very hot and the coating even blistered in a couple of sections.

ahh ok... funny being just the top half of only one pad... it doesnt effect any of the braking?

Hi Guys,

I used to work around the corner from the DBA office in Silverwater Sydney. I dropped in to ask a few questions about their rotors and suitable pads. The guy I spoke to said it's important to select pads that conduct heat away from the rotors to reduce the risk of rotor cracks. If you're running DBA rotors, it might be worth while asking them which pads are compatible.

ahh ok... funny being just the top half of only one pad... it doesnt effect any of the braking?

hmm yeh i dont know why it would only do half. my braking hasnt been affected.

Interesting, as when i used to run EBC red Stuff Pads by the end of the track day i had minimal braking, and the pads used to be full of cracks.. That steered me away from the EBC Red Stuff, but they are an awesome pad for street. I will be using EBC Red Stuff as my next set of pads for street use only..
I still havent found a decent combo for the track, so I have given up the occasional track day for now...
