Was looking on ebay and found a set of tyi-y pacemakers

think they're worth that price?

I can do a light sand and respray with high temp paint no probs.

If your time, effort and materials costs your less than $200....do it.

There are brand new ones on eBay for about $200 more...

Your call.

Yeah and I'm guessing I'll have to get some head gaskets also.

Hey, the 4 into 1's versus tri y's is another argument! :jester:
Plenty of threads for the OP to search, read up and make his own mind up on that one! :jester::jester::jester:

For less than $100 extra you get brand new bigger pipes and new gaskets etc from a proper shop rather than old secondhand stuff with no gaskets. :)
I reckon that would be an easy choice! :)

Hi Guys,

I fitted Tri Y’s to my VY SV8. That and a tune and a 3.7 diff improved it but it’s very easy to grow used to the power and want more. I made a few inquiries about supercharging and was planning to take that route when I bought the FG XR6T.

I was told that the Tri Y’s I’d bought were too small to get the best out of a supercharger. I was told that 4 into 1’s are better for supercharged applications.

There’s a need for careful planning to avoid having to replace expensive parts with different expensive parts. The LS1’s had a doughy mid range and I suspect that they’d most benefit from a blower. If I had my time over, I'd fit 4 into 1's and a blower.
