Hi, does anyone know about Flat Spot/s on rims. A friend has been told that 2 of his HSV 18inch alloys has flat spots on the inside and not on the edges of the rims. Resulting from pot holes. Any info at all, thanks.

Hi Guys,

Your wheels might be repairable. Some mag wheel "repairers" merely bog up scratches and repaint them.

These guys do welding and machining. They're near Sydney Airport (43 Bay Street Botany), NSW,and their phone number is 02 9980 1125. I've used them twice for gutter grazes and they do good work.

I damaged my 19" HSV rims on a speed bump that I did not see and got them repaired, about 12 months ago now and had no problems with them. They had a real shake as you got faster. Cost about $180 each with a respray.

We use wheel solutions in Richmond, Victoria - you should almost always be able to get them re-rolled. They cant' if its in the face of the wheel though... then it is as good as scrap metal :bawl:
