bloody headlights

gday got a vuss:)
but problem is im in sweden, just put in chevrolet gto front with headlights from the usa because i need lhd lights, tried to open other threads but no sucess...:vpo:
i have connected all correct but i heard that i need to make a cable join or something in the steering column, high and low work with flash high beam but when i put on permanent high low goes off. simple problem i'm sure

Yeah the GTO/Monaro headlights are different. If you just swap the lights in, the low beams turn off when the high beams turn on. The result is no light in front of you, where you need it. The fix is to alter the wiring in the steering column, but that's too hard.

Do this instead, much easier.

The position of the relays in your fuse panel may be different, but the concept is the same.
