Tein Coilovers - VX1 & VX2 the same?

Was adjusting the coilovers on my car the other day and realised the Tein coilovers say VT-VX1 on them. Im just wondering if they would be any different on the VX2 and if i have been stooged by the suspension shop that supplied & fitted them as my car is a series 2?

The difference is the way the link pins mount to the sway bar.

Series one has the striaght link pins with bushes top and bottom.

Series two has the ball joint bottoms with bushes at the top. These mount to the swaybar at 90 degrees.

Would this make any difference to the way the car handles?
