View Full Version : VTII Speed Alert in 'Police Mode'

Greetings all,

New here but not new to forums (mainly bike related). I've done a search for this question and have found a bit of info, but nothing that relates specifically to my issue.

I've recently had 'police mode' enabled in my VTII Senator via the Tech 2; however, the speed alert now comes on at 55kmh (was set at 120kmh prior to enabling). I've since been back to Holden and disabled police mode, turned the speed alert off, and then re-enabled it, but it still defaults to 55kmh. Has anyone with a VTII managed to enable police mode and turn off the speed alert? Having the digital speedo is great, but not if I can't get it off the 55kmh speed alert limit.

I'll have some more questions a bit later...

You need to set the speed alert to as high as it will go before enabling the digital speedo. Turning it off will not work.

Ahhhhhhhh, thanks XLR8 V8. I'll go back to Holden and try that - the service guy's that have set it for me weren't aware of that...

With Tech 2 at a dealership.

Really, it isn't worthwhile in a pre-VY, as the digital speedo display is too small and the speedo needle will let you know how fast you're going anyway.

Had the VY Addy done recently as I'd gotten so used to it in the VZ it just felt wrong ;)

I did a search here and found out about maxxing the speed warnings as the guys at the dealership didn't know about it.

In the Addy there were a couple to change.

Just find the Digi speedo so much less effort in Vic as +3 they'll shoot ya dead :eyes:

i turned mine off

then had police mode enabled and i dont have any issues at all.

And the ssame was done to my GF's vy and neither of us have issues.
