View Full Version : Melb RWC + 120,000km service VZ Monaro?

hey guys,
bought a VZ CV8-Z monaro from NSW...gotta transfer it to vic rego! It's also due for 120,000km service so thought i could get both done at once, it did pass NSW pink slip just 2 days ago so hopefully won't have much issue with vic RWC

tl;dr coming from an old ford which i serviced myself and don't know any mechanics or who's good etc

1. Is it worth logbook servicing the monaro (all previous services were logbook from a dealer)
2. Can anyone recommend a workshop in melbourne(pref. either eastern suburbs, OR around ascot vale/flemington area) who would be unlikely to pull up something stupid on RWC like new windscreen etc? (don't need a dodgy because car is in very good condition, just don't wanna have to replace useless stuff which a lot of RWC places seem to like doing)
3. extra bonus for any place who can RWC and do a logbook service, i guess if i get service at the same time they are already getting money from me and are less likely to pull up BS items on the roady

Was hoping for a performance oriented place as I do not plan to keep this monaro stock for very long (it's bone stock now), I looked in sponsor forum and called autotechnique but they do not do rwc :(
thanks :D

Don't know how Blackburn fits in with your location but this is where I get my SS serviced and they always have HSV's SS's etc in the workshop.
According to their web site they do RWC not sure how fussy they are but as far as service and repairs I have found them fair and honest and have always done a first class job. Acouple of links below.
