Was wondering if anyone has bought or has seen in the flesh the SS Induction gauge holder for the VE like seen here.
http://www.ssinductions.com.au/products/Holden-VE-V8-Gauge-Holder.html
I realise there are others out there for sale which look fantastic, but I dont want five gauges or want to spend hundreds & hundres of $ after what I have just spent on the blower.
I basically only want a boost gauge but would put something else there also.
Just figured for $99 & a couple of gauges it would be a fairly cheap option.
I like the JHP 3 gauge setup but I would like the gauges facing me, also I am trying to save for big brakes.

This was my thought exactly. I have never understood why there hasn't been more holders for gauges that face the driver
I bought one and have my Aeroforce gauges in it. The plastic is not a perfect match but it's ok.
Downside - I think mine has actually warped.

Thanks for the quick reply, dont suppose you have a link for some photo's ?
Is there much to installing it & the wiring ?

they don't make many that face the driver so they can also sell them overseas. widen the market with one design
The straight ones are no big deal can read them just as easy, the JHP ones are better quality no issues with warping etc

Purchased the same SS inductions pod when we had the group buy. Only let down is when the sun is shining on the guages, the readouts are a bit "faded".

I just want red analogue gauges with either white or red needles, so they should be easy to see.

Just ordered my SS Inductions gauge holder, now to find some gauges that I like, I want a boost & maybe an afr gauge.
I have called JHP twice to see if they will sell me their custom red one's, but I am still waiting for a return call, they obviously dont need my money.
Just called them for the 3rd time & no, they wont sell gauges separate.

I have had one for a while, it melted in the sun.
I sent it back they are making a new one that is made from a more heat resistant plastic.
Looks good though

I would really consider the aeroforce gauges. We got them in a group buy a while back. They are unreal! The colour suits the ve perfectly. It's what I get most comments on probably. Well that and the whole "why is ur ute shaking?" (big cam)

Thanks for the feedback, mine is always in the garage unless I am driving it somewhere so hopefully it will last a while.

Thanks John, I will check it out & yes I wonder where I have seen that pic b4 :D
At the moment I'm leaning towards some Stewart Warner gauges like these.
http://www.vpw.com.au/productgroup.asp?CatID=7&SubCatID=1156&priorCatID=1156&PrdGrpID=1582
You can get red globes or led's or whatever is in them.

I'd at least double check their prices as their conversion rate is pox! $US87.46 = $A102.53  Must be old stock??? Even better PM Fraser for a price as when I was looking at the possibility of putting Ken's 5 gauge binnacle in he gave me some very competitive prices, inc. on SW.

SS Inductions gauge holder arrived Monday, been tossing up between Autometer & Stewart Warner gauges.
I have just ordered a Stewrat Warner 0-15 PSI boost gauge & a Electrical 0-100 PSI oil gauge from the states through Summit Racing.
Autometer don't make a 0-15 PSI boost gauge anymore only 0-30 PSI which I didnt want, thus the reason for going with S/W.
