I bought a genuine VE rear camera from ebay and Im connecting it to a WM Caprice.
The Caprice has a Bose system and the VE has the Blaupunkt system. I have checked the wiring diagram and the plugs are identical and assume the wiring is also identical but I cant get it to work as it should, the camera does not come on when reverse is selected but if I press the Aux. button the camera comes on and stays on until I select the radio and I have lost the front screen playing when stopped. (it does have rear seat entertainment fitted)
I disconnected and then reconnected it, double checking all the connections and its still the same, I did notice on the reconnection that the radio displayed vehicle miss match and playing with further I found if I make a call the camera drops out and comes back on when the call is finished, so I disconnected the telephone mute wire and the camera stopped working again.
So the telephone mute is acting like a switch wire for the camera instead of the gear selector.
So I need help with a wiring diagram for the WM Bose head unit to compare with the Blaupunkt wiring diagram I have.
