aftermarket gauges

hi have vx ss, just putting a new donk in it, ls2 & and built auto, want to run an engine oil pressure guage and trans temp gauge in side, has anyone got any pics of gauges there fitted, would like to fit them below the stereo

haha wow i was going to make a near identical thread tonight! I plan on fitting 4 gauges to my VX and wanted input on how to fit them all in there! Here are some pics on different setups ive come across.

I am planning on fitting a single DIN headunit and having 2 fitted in the spare section underneath. Then fitting the other 2 in the very bottom section where the extra compartment/sunglass holder is normally.(as seen in the last pic) The mount shown is the last pic cost something crazy like $200-$300 though.

Not sure if you have as much space in a vx as a vy but this is how I did mine for the moment..

Matt, do a set up like the second pic, with the guages above the stereo. They look like 2 1/16" guages aswell, which is what i suggested. Im still waiting for those prices aswell. Should have them soon.

were would u get a gauge holder like the one with the gauges above the stereo thats what i would like in mine

But where would i put the last gauge? Some people do this(see below), but personally i hate it. Looks so out of place and wrecks the dash:

Ihave priced you up 5 guages, so if you get all 5, you will have 2 extra, which we can find somewhere to put there where they will look good. Its not hard to find somewhere for them.

Ebay have some good single din 3 gauge holders which clip in under/above head unit. They're staggered too so you can have them facing you. Pretty cheap too.

maybe im just shit at searching, but the only ones i could find where the compartment ones, for you to put stuff in. None with gauge holders, let alone staggered ones aimed at the driver which i want badly.

(as shown in the pics i put up, none of them actually face the driver which sucks)

Put in din gauge holder and came up with one on ebay, brought it see how it looks when I get it only 20 dollars, cheers

Has any 1 tried the PLX gauges DM-200 you buy moduled and hook them up to the dm module you can display 4 display with 1 gauge eg 1 A/F,oil press,coolant temp,and boost all on 1 gauge.
i run 6 egt's ,2 afr's,1 boost,1 gearbox temp,oil pressure,
on 3 gauges

i went with the easy option, gueage holders into the side of the console.
if i had to do it again i would definatly go dash mounted, or pillar aslong as they dimmed at night
