Did a track event last night with a local Perth Car Club at barbagallo (wanneroo) raceway.

As i don't have my ute running yet, i took the daily driver instead (on a trailer just incase).

Quick run down on the car for those who havent seen the my ride section.
Stock 6lt with 224/228 cam & pac 918 valve springs with only 112k km's
7.425 trend pushrods
3.46 diff
harrop hh122 & vcm intake
KPM fuel pump upgrade
3600 circle d stage 2 convertor = locked 3rd and 4th gears.
stock 6l80e
Koya Rex 20x8, 20x9.5 rims with El Cheapo Achilles tyres (but they work)
difillipo 1 7/8 headers + Twin 3" exhaust
HSD Coilovers on front. bilstien shock, factory fe2 rear springs
Camaro 2010 4 piston brembo front and rear (far exceeded the tyre's capability on the stock pads)
NGK BR7EFS plugs gapped to 0.85mm
BP Ultimate 98 fuel - she burns good

Best time was a 59.9 flat, I'm lead to believe anything sub 60 seconds is quick, so i was happy with it. Ended up taking out the rwd street trophy aswell apparently but i left before they were given out.

Anyway enough of the boring shit. The video's ( i recommend turning the volume up).
FYI: 1st lap is warm up, then 3 flying laps, then a cool down lap.

Race 1 i used the go pro off the side of my helmet.

Race 2 & 3 i had it on the boot pointing back and down to capture over run flamage.

yeah. i was using a 4 point harness. it was giving me the shits so i put the normal seat belt on over the top half way through the warm up lap to shut it up.

Cheers guys. I reakon it's setup pretty well for a daily driver doing 4~500km's a week.

probably not the wisest of cars to use for a track night considering it's my daily. but it has all the right mods to make it quick and handle correctly around the track.

However i have noticed a slight increase in shift times from 2-3rd gear now, even though i only used 3rd & 4th gears at the track. might be time for a fluid/filter change in the 6l80.

Have to give the auto a big thumbs up on the track though, 1 foot for each pedal.

You need some brakes I think Tre-Cool, bring the braking points down from 300m :)

it has brakes, but at night the braking points were too hard to work out. so i just went with the "gut feeling" that i could pull it up.

also the last vid with the camera facing forward, i had pretty much got enough racing for the night, so slowed down a bit. the tyres just didnt have the grip from the start of the night.
