Just noticed that my VEII SV6 Ute does not have a high mount LED brake light. (seperate from tail/brake lights)

Anyone know why this is the case, I thought they were required on all cars/utes these days.

A CHMSL (Center High Mounted Stop Light) is only a requirement on passenger cars,

I got one from Holmart (Painted) and put it on my ute, was a simple process, shouldnt be to hard in the VEII, just hope the loom is there!

Thanks for that,

Seems to be no prevision for this light at all on a VEII SV6. Not that I want to put one on.
It just struck me as strange that there is no light thats all, other models have them why not the Utes.

Only the ss models since VU have had them (and maloos in their sailplane)

Since they aren't mandatory, removing them from below SS models removes cost, as well as provides an additional selling feature on the upper models.

Loom wasn't there so the project is on hold for the moment. He may have to do what you have done and tap into the rear lights somehow.
