I have lost the bottom 2 bolts between the bell housing and the engine on my car before. I am not sure but I was told they may be slightly longer than the others so when your car has been in for gearbox changes in the past it is not noticed that the 2 bottom ones are slightly longer.
They are 50mm long and are tightened using allen key attachments.
Wrong-they are not allen key
they are 14-15 ml from memory

Hi folks they are a 15mm bolt iirc and they are M10 in thread size i think they are just regular old m10 and about 50mm long. Good ol coventry fasteners sorted mine out but they are definately metric

This seems like a good place to ask: are auto and manual bolts exactly the same?

yes, bolts are all the same between man & auto. you'll find you only use i think 7 bolts or less on a th400 install anyway.

I have posted wrong info so have deleted it. I was sure I bought the bolts on the shelf for the transmission but they must be for elsewhere.

V6 runs the Male Torx head bolts in the bellhousing.
(close to the correct length as well from memory)

Its all at Johns (SQP)now, and he reckons she will be going sometime next week:goodjob:(after he buys half a cars worth of missing bolts lol)
She's turning into a bitsa now - Ive got parts from SAJ, HSV364, and Tom (Northern Invader) going into the car now so she is a bit of a hybrid lol
Now I just need one of Tre-Cool's blowers on there a well haa haa
