Has anybody found a wheel/tyre combination which works for an agressive mud tread. The closest tyres for OD to the 225/55 R17 require a 15" rim. Can't find load rated 15" alloys and the well in the steel rims is too deep resulting in the centre insert fouling on the front brake caliper.

Post #7 (http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=139875) Not sure if these are what you need but might be worth a look.

All the more agressive tyres for 16" rims are too big (can't find anything low enough profile) and when you put the car down, the wheel arch is a nice snug fit over the wheel (and it hits the base of the spring).

Modified 16" steel rims will fit (centre bored out to fit over bearing hub) but can't find low enough profile mud or AT 16" tyres to fit in front wheel arch. Fourbys don't have a solution either. I'm looking for something really agressive for mud and snow.

Cross6 steel rims are 16" and will fit on no mods required.
