Found these rime while searching through thousands of rims and think they would look good on My E3 Maloo. Problem is I only found them on US sites, do we have a sponsor on LS1 that can help me out?
I firstly want to know if they will even fit on a HSV, and secondly can I buy them in OZ
Brand is fom American Racing Wheels
NOVA, Gloss Black Machined, 20"

hate to say it, but i dont think they would suit a maloo at all.. GTS rims / pentagon all the way imo.:eeeeek: cost wise if you would have to import them im sure wouldnt be to much difference anyway.

i highly doubt they will fit lookin at the dish, and how close the spokes look to his standard brakes
I wouldnt be game buyin them from american to for a test fit, HSV brakes dont allow alot of option for after market wheels

If you cant buy them here don't worry about it. Freight from the states is insane for wheels. It's around the 1.2k mark.
I'm sure you can find something similar/nicer here.
Did a google on 'American Racing Wheels Nova' and found what appear to be several distributors in Australia. The main sites of interest being
http://americanracing.com.au
and
http://wheelboyz.com/ .
Also stumbled accross
http://www.jegs.com/p/American-Racing/American-Racing-Nova-Series-701-Chrome-Wheels/1503631/10002/-1 which provides full details of the wheels your after ie. offsets / rear spacing etc.
Dont think you'll be fitting these to an e3 unfortunately - the highest offset made on this rim is 38mm..

That Mustang doesn't look to have very big brakes, whereas the calipers on your E3 are (relatively) massive, so few if any rims with any significant dish will clear them. It also depends on offset but I doubt they'd go anywhere near clearing. I assume you've seen the thread on aftermarket rims to clear VE HSV brakes?

Would love to see them please Rick! :yup: Put them on Photobucket or similar and then post the link on here without the http:// and also possibly leaving a space where there are normally "." or "/" to get them past the parser. Someone like myself will then post them for you. :goodjob:

As other teads have shown those advance 1 wheels cost an arm and a leg, i would hate to see how much walkinshaw are putting on top and charging people for them.
Cheers

With my leaning towards thin spoked rims eg. my current DTM Shines, I quite like those Rick for HSV brakes! :goodjob: Are they silver or chrome? Looks like shiny silver?

Yeah, afraid I agree. :( I like simple design rims but to me they're too simple and don't do anything for the car. To me the Pentagons are a much nicer rim, however, the only thing that matters is what Simon thinks of them. :yup:

Nup, don't sell them over here but you can buy from the UK for well below what we pay here, I bought some for my Golf - proper light weight race rims, I love them.

Hey mate, i think the rims on the mustang dont suit the new maloo, just dosnt match in with the colour amd shape of the car, however they would look great on your old because of the shape and lighter colour of your vz maloo.
I think if you want to go a light coloured or polished looking rim they need to be more solid looking, thicker spokes. However a darker coloured rim you could get away with skinnier spoke on the rim like the the ones pictured on the blue maloo.
IMO a nice solid looking wheel in either gun metal or shadow chrome will look the best on your new maloo, just my 2c.
Good luck with the decision.
Cheers
Matt
