Been covered before, but the general things are, bigger wheels/tyres, leather, projector headlamps, premium audio, sat nav. On sedan Reverse camera
Also ss-v can lead to redline edition as well (bigger brakes, dif wheels, FE3 suspension)
S1 had dual zone climate with the screen but series II has that standard.

If your going SSV, I think I'd go the extra for Redline, but I don't particularly like the wheels that come with the package. I think the SS is good value now climate air and the better sound system in the series II. Even the SV6 is pretty good thing as it now gets the SS style seats, and climate air, and the SIDI engine is a pretty good thing as well.

Just to note you only get FE3 suspension in the Sedan. Ute and Wagon miss out.

Is there still a difference in the audio system now that both have iQ?

Ute gets 2 piss weak little subs in the corners of the cabin, don't think it has an amp, I can't see it.

I believe it includes the CD ripping function too.

Depends what the extras are though. When I bought my SS, I didn't see much on the SSV that I didn't think were just "trinkets" so I saved $4500 instead :)

Is the redline worth the extra $$, they seem to be holding their price better than standard SSV's

And the 10X better radio screen and dual zone climate interface! bigger wheels,
Projector lights, leather seating.
I mainly got the SS-V for the screen, now the SS has the same screen i would go the SII SS!

Hey guys, considering a VE SS SII ute. I know main differences between SS and SSV but can anyone clear up that the SS and SSV have the same audio package?

SSV has subs, SS does not. Pretty sure SSV also have a tiny amp, you will need to see the brochure or look online at the spec differences...

No the SS-V will get premium audio over the standard SS

You can do the comparisons on the Holden website between the two models :)

Personally, if i was getting a ute, it would be the SS with some 20" Holden wheels.

When I was getting my S1 SSV, the one main difference was the full curtain airbags that came with the SSV, when I got mine, apparently they weren't available on the SS

Hi some on the differences with ss vs ssv are:

seats (leather), headlights, stereo(subwoofer), steering wheel, alloys, seat adjustments (electronic), interior colour (red available in ssv)...just to name a few..

I ended up getting an SSV with the G8 front. Didnt know about the sub etc thought it was an aftermarket item the previous owner had fitted! Its a pretty nice system for a standard item Im stoked with it glad I went the SSV!

You were misled. I optioned my SS with curtain airbags - they came in a bundle with leather trim.

Nah that's what I was told, but it was a significant upgrade cost which is why I chose the ssv

Marco

It was $2500, dunno if you think that is significant or not :)

Lol not what I was told, I was told about 6k...

Marco

$6k was about the price difference between an SS and an SSV at the time (and probably still is).
