Hey guys just got a letter yesterday basically says my exhaust is to loud and i need to bring my car in for inspection to approved inspection Station that being either granville or campbelltown. Im just in the process of fitting full stock exhaust however it has a harrop blower and am hoping to get it cleared without removig that too. It has been engineered however it was done by TIC. Anyone have any suggestions or experience here that could save me some headaches? Ive been told to avoid granville and go campbelltown instead.

is tic still on the list?they were wiped off? if they get nasty when you go to granville or cambeltown and send you to 4 gas , we recently got a procharged wagon throught with a 230s cam so it dosnt mean blower has to come off. good luck
thanx will

Thanks mate although not worried bout emisions its more inspection to make sure all polution gear hasnt been tampered with. More worried if they will knock back engineers report than anything
My understanding is that the blower won't be an issue as an engine testing is done within specific a rpm range at which a blower should be ADR compliant.

Noise at rear is tested at 4,200 rpm in neutral. Car goes on a hoist they take photos of everything you pay $60 or there abouts and then you receive a letter in the mail saying whether you passed or failed.

Just a quick update on the whole situation. Took the car in for inspection thursday and the mechanic has marked me up for the fuel pressure reg, injectors, missing MAF meter and the gilmer drive noise. He has forewarded all the details on to the EPA for their final decision. I got a call from them late friday and the guy basically told me not to worry about the fuel related components or MAF as their not a concern. Their only potential problem at this stage is the noise from the gilmer drive, which is pretty good news for me. He said when the rest of the guys get back into the office on monday he will have a final answer for me on what needs to be done.
Will keep you updated....

Strange that they are more concerned with the noise from the gilmer drive. Surely they must be bored. Good luck anyways.
