Need help getting new clutch..

I'm searching high and low for this LS7 clutch kit. I was driving the other night and my clutch finally gave way, then the clutch pedal stuck to the floor and all my clutch fluid is gone. So I'm presuming the slave cylinder gave way too.

CAPA don't have them in stock.
Local holder dealer want almost 3,000 for a full kit (WTF)

First one, I'm presuming doesn't come with a flywheel. Second link, I'm not sure even applies to my car (VE HSV R8 LS2).

First things first:

Do I even need a new flywheel?
Where/What slave cylinder do I order, do I need lines for it etc ?

I seem to be going around in circles on what to order :confused:

The ls7 clutch kit from holden is part # 92161753 (includes ls7 flywheel holden part92240967) . I was quoted $489 trade so if you've got a couple of holden dealers nearby, ring around and get the best price.
Also get the slave from holden and a spigot bearing as well.

Thanks man, huge help. I'll ring all the holden dealers today. It's a joke that this guy quoted me so much I thought it was a joke and made it so much more confusing for me.

Okay so I just went to the holden dealer to pick up my clutch/flywheel kit.

Open the box. and I see all the "LS2/GTO" stuff seen here:

just called my local to compare to the CAPA price.

Kit Clutch $602, didn't ask trade at this stage. then asked for the slave and s bearing, $1139, then said how much trade $1063.85 for the lot...

Far out the slave is as expensive as the clutch and flywheel, plus its a shit slave that sucks in clutch dust, mmmm....I guess no one does aftermarket slaves for these ?....

Ugh, I have some LS6 clutch setup in the part I ordered 92161753. Now they're saying they have given me the part I ordered. Can someone please confirm whether or not I have got the right thing. there is so much confusion, I've read and searched high and low and it gets too confusing.

Shit mate sorry about that!! When I rang up looking for a price on an ls7 kit myself the parts guy gave me 92240967 as the flywheel part number for that kit, I searched the number and found this thread (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:iabP4AckR9AJ:www.ls1.com.au/forum/archive/index.php/t-148825.html+holden+92240967&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=au&source=www.google.com.au) where apparently that was the holden part number for the LS7 flywheel!
Sorry about that again mate! I'm sure since you haven't used it they wouldn't mind exchanging it for the right part. I'll give holden a call and see if I can get the right number.

Bad news, the flywheel alone ( holden part # 92240967) is over $1000 and about $800 for the clutch and pressure plate( #24255748). I don't know how the fark the bloke I initially called got the ls7 flywheel part# for the kit above, but I guess these things happen!
I'm sure there wouldn't be any issues with a refund since you haven't used it. Then get on the phone to CAPA asap as thats looking like a very good price!!
