Vr ss swap to LS1

Hi Guys,
I have a mate who has a vr ss manual who has just killed his 5L, again. Now he is talking about swapping to an ls1. What is needed for this swap other than the ls1 itself? He seems to think it will cost him about 4k including tune afterwards, but that doesnt sound right.

$1,500 - $1,600 for Engine Mounts and Starter Relocation
$? - Custom Headers and Exhaust
$600 - $1,000 for PCM/BCM looming
$500 - $1,000 for Dyno Tune
$1,000 - $3,000+ for a Long Motor

You could do it for 4k depending on the motor and exhaust, but would budget for more

Tell your mate it is well worth it. If he is going to take it to the drags or similar use tuff mounts, I just changed to them, much better. I'll be surpsied if he can do it for under $4k (excluding engine and box). I did everything myself and it still cost a bit. Don't forget engineering cost and simple things like, radiator hoses, power steering hoses, air box etc etc.
