I have a question in regard to the oil pressure being indicted in my 2005 R8.
When I start it up, the needle on the oil gauge will sit between the 2nd and 3rd indicator lines.
When the car warms up it usuallly sit right about on the 2nd indicator line.
And it goes up depending how hard I accelerate.
If I'm just accelerating normally it rises about to the 3rd indicator line. If i go hard then it goes higher.
One I back off it drops to whatever level it was before.
The reason I ask is that in my mates monaro the needle sits at the 3rd indicator line most the time and most pictures/videos I have seen of R8 clubbies also show their gauge at that level.
I do have a cam and heads though am not sure if this matters.
My oil level is towards the top end of the dip stick and i have Castrol 10-60 in it.
Thoughts?
