Hi all,

I had the Monaro serviced at the dealership for years but was quite unimpressed last time around with their nickel and diming so I'm looking for alternatives.

What are my options for reliable logbook servicing within 10km of Melbourne CBD?

I've seen Nickh recommending Essendon Mechanical here (http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=145802) and will be giving them a call. Do you know of any others?

The car's got a mild cam, heads etc. etc. so would prefer someone with experience in modified LS1's, even if it's a standard service.

Thanks!

Who did the cam/heads and other work? Maybe get them to do the servicing also.

Same workshop that does my mods does my servicing also.

All work done by G&D and I've always been happy with them. I know that they do logbook work also.

The only issue is travel as I need to drop the car off in Dandenong, get back to the city by train, and then repeat in reverse order to pick it up.
This is ok for mods but a bit of a hike for just a standard service, you know ;)

Chev's a forum sponsor work Saturday's

Am sure if you can book it in far enough in advance you could be looked after

The bonus with this is there is always other forum members around to have a chat with especialy if you get there later in the morning.

Maybe other forum sponsors also do a Saturday.

Cheers

Stu

Thanks Stu, that's a good idea.

I'll give the guys in Essendon a call and if that doesn't pan out I'll take the car to one of the forum sponsors a bit further afield.
